GUITAR, PIANO, VIOLIN, CELLO, MUSIC COMPOSITION, TUTORING FOR READING. Anthony is a composer in the Classical Tradition. He teaches with an emphasis on music theory, practical demonstration and cultivation of the student’s creativity. Anthony involves students in reading music, as well as showing them how to write their own musical ideas. Anthony is interested in putting together a chamber string group of LMS students.


PIANO, TRUMPET, VOICE, JAPANESE. Caitlin earned her B.A. Degree from Kenyon College. She balance her schooling by playing the Trumpet & Piano. She also studied Japanese in High School & College. She has always loved learning & is excited to have the opportunity to share her knowledge with other.


SPANISH, E.S.L. Claudia was born in Honduras, Central America. She is a Neurologist by Profession. She knows the meaning of Language Learning and Music because of her knowledge on how the Brain learns through Repetition & Stimulation. She studied Neurology in Cuba and majored in Neuromuscular Diseases in Barcelona, Spain which was useful in learning the use of Muscles (Facial Expression, Hands Movement & Tongue). In the past 3 years she has worked in Adult Education with Alzheimers. She has lived in different countries which gives her a broad knowledge of culture. She enjoys teaching Adults & Childen using tools like Neurocognition to acquire a solid foundation in Memory. She teaches Spanish & has traveled the world with this rich Language. Claudia has one son, Jose, who studies flute/recorder that LMS.


SPANISH, E.L.L., TUTORING ALL ELEMENTARY SCHOOL SUBJECTS UP TO THE THIRD GRADE LEVEL. Cyndhy is a native Spanish speaker, born and raised in Peru. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education with concentrations in Business Management. She had three years of experience as a Kindergarten Teacher in Peru and about the same as Director/Lead Teacher in Chicago (USA). She loves teaching Spanish using different methods that will best suit her student’s learning process. Some of her favorite approaches are Interactions through Games, Songs, Rhymes and Audiovisual Materials. Cyndhy also makes crafts with recycled paper.


POLISH, PIANO, HARP, VOICE. Dagmara started to play Piano at the age of 5. She studied Piano, Music Theory and History, Choir and Harp for over 19 years in Poland and the U.S.A. She graduated from The Chicago Academy for the Arts and Conservatory of Music in Krakow. She has been teaching Piano privately for over 10 years and she taught for several years at the Professional School of Music in Poland. She speaks, writes and reads fluently in Polish and English. She is the mother of two children, loves the outdoors and running. Her daughter plays Flute, Piano and loves to be on stage.


GUITAR, BANJO, UKULELE, HARMONICA, CLARINET, DRUMS, VOICE, COMPOSITION, SONG WRITING. Daniel is a music instructor and performer. Teaching music is his life-long passion. His musical awakening happened at the age of 16, when he discovered the guitar. Throughout his teenage years, Daniel worked diligently to cultivate a firm understanding of music and its components. He is known for giving deep, energetic performances before a live audience, but he is patient and empathetic when teaching. He believes that music is a timeless art that is passed on from generation to generation. He enjoys sharing his understanding of music with his students.


ARABIC.Dareen was born and raised in Damascus, Syria where she got her B.S. In Mass Communications from Damascus University. She has several certificates in her field of study – including two certificates from Radio Monte Carlo, France, and one from Reuters News Agency. She has written for many Syrian newspapers as well as Arab Gulf Newspapers across the Middle East. She moved to the U.S. about 3 years ago and lives with her husband and daughter in Chicago. Her husband is a Police Officer of Persian and Syrian descent. He speaks English, Arabic and Persian. Dareen started teaching Arabic at Damascus University and has taught at several institutions in the Chicago area. She hopes to continue pursuing her career as an Arabic teacher by starting Arabic conversation clubs for students of diverse backgrounds.

TUTORING. Faith has been involved with music her entire life, studying Piano, Voice and Guitar over the course of her childhood and adolescence. A native of Michigan, Faith was thrilled to pursue post-secondary music studies at the School of Music, Theatre and Dance at the University of Michigan, one of the most highly ranked music programs in the nation. She began teaching privately during her time as an undergrad and completed her Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance with K-12 Music Education Certification in 2013. She is now settled in Oak Park
with her husband Carl and terrier, Max.


POLISH.Malgorzata (Gosia) was born and raised in Poland. She holds a BA degree in nursing from Jagiellonian University, Krakow, a highly ranked College in Poland. During her time as an undergrad, she completed a Pedagogical Program, which let her do what she loves most Teach. She has been teaching Polish and Creative Movement in a Polish Catholic School in Elmwood Park. Gosia is friendly, enthusiastic and passionate about sharing her knowledge with others.


FRENCH, E.S.L., VIOLIN, VIOLA, GERMAN and PIANO. Hersh has a Bachelors in Education from NationalLouis University and has done graduate work at the University of Chicago. He has also studied at Goethe Institute in Germany, L’Ecole de Petoile, Paris France, The French American Center in Lisieux and at Oberlin College. He has taught for District 97, IIT and at The University of Chicago Lab School. Hersh lives with his family in Oak Park. Hersh is interested in putting together a Chamber String Group of LMS students.


Founder, Coordinator, Author, Spanish Pre-K and Parent-Tot Teacher. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Maria is a Professor of Music from Conservatorio Provincial de Musica Julian Aguirre with ongoing studies in Music Therapy and Childhood Disorders including Asperger’s, Autism, ADHD and Bipolar Disorder. Maria has been teaching since 1985 and is Co-Author and Seminar Leader for LMS First Steps in SpanishTM Music-Based Foreign Language Curriculum.


SPANISH, GUITAR, BASS, PIANO, HARMONICA. Raul has taught Guitar and Music Theory to students at Holy Name Cathedral High School, and given private Electric, Acoustic, and Bass Guitar instruction since 2005. He worked for 4 years with the Old Towne School of Folk Music in concert promotion and public relations and has served as Coordinator for the annual Old Towne Folk & Roots Festival. Raul can also teach Drawing classes and is interested in teaching a Blues Ensemble Class and putting together a 50’s Era Revival Band.


VIOLIN, PIANO, HINDI, TELAGU.Rebecca was born in Chennai, India and was raised in Oak Park, IL. She frequently visits India and loves to explore the culture. She is fluent in two Indian languages and is learning a third one. She is currently an undergraduate student at The University of Illinois at Chicago. She mentored Elementary and Middle School students on the Violin throughout High School. She believes that students should be encouraged to pursue their interests & her classes would be structured around the student’s needs. She is excited to share about her Culture & Music with her students & learn from them as well.


VOICE, MUSICAL THEATER, AUDITION PREPARATION, CLARINET, PIANO, SAXOPHONE, GUITAR, MUSIC COMPOSITION. Sasha is a graduate of the Univ. of IL at Urbana-Champaign School of Music where she studied Voice and Music Education. She has taught private Voice and Piano lessons for over 3 yrs and performs professionally in Musicals and Theater. Sasha played the clarinet for 12 years and accredits her musical literacy with her participation in concert band. She enjoys songwriting and works well with children. She’s excited to guide the musical development of students at LMS. Sasha can also coach Dance (Ballet/Tap/Jazz), is interested in starting a Choir and also casting a Show/Musical.


PIANO, GUITAR, BASS GUITAR, BANJO, DRUMS & PERRCUSSION, UKULELE, MANDOLIN, MOST WOODWINDS, SAXOPHONE, CLARINET, RECORDER, VOICE (POP GENRE), MUSIC COMPOSITION, OBOE. Tim studied Music Theory and Music Business at Elmhurst College, where he got his B.A. He’s a singer/songwriter and multi-Instrumentalist with over 20 years of experience in the music industry. He has composed music for film and television and has released over five full-length records with a major record label. Prior to teaching at LMS, Tim helped develop curriculum for a bilingual music program for children. Tim would love to put together a rock band of LMS students.




CHINESE. Xi was born and raised in Beijing, China. Xi received his Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering in China and came to the United States to continue his studies towards his Masters Degree at University of Illinois at Chicago. As a native speaker in Chinese and also a Beijinger, he loves teaching Chinese and sharing his culture with his students. He is patient and energetic when teaching. One of his hobbies is playing the Piano. He currently lives in Oak Park.
